The Anchor is more than a place to stay.

It is a place of refuge.

A place where a daughter can come in carrying the weight of what she has experienced and discover that her story does not end there.

Here, she is given room to breathe, room to heal, room to learn, room to dream, and room to become.

She will be reminded that she is not defined by where she came from, what happened to her, or what others may have called her.

She is a daughter.

She is worthy of love.

She has gifts.

She has purpose.

And with the right support, guidance, compassion, faith, education, and opportunity, she can discover what has been within her all along.

The Anchor exists to help her find a safe place to rest, the courage to heal, the tools to grow, and the vision to discover her purpose.

 

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE ANCHOR

The Anchor is more than a place to live.

It is a place where a daughter can begin again.

Here, she will be given the opportunity to:

REST — Experience safety, stability, and a place where she can breathe.

HEAL — Address wounds from the past and begin the journey toward emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual wholeness.

GROW — Develop life skills, confidence, healthy relationships, financial responsibility, education, and emotional resilience.

DISCOVER — Learn who she is, whose she is, and the gifts and purpose God has placed within her.

PREPARE — Gain the tools, support, and confidence necessary to step into independent living and her future.

RELEASE — Leave not simply having completed a program but knowing that she carries something valuable within her and has something meaningful to bring to the world.

THE JOURNEY

Every daughter arrives with a story.

Some arrive carrying disappointment.
Some arrive carrying grief.
Some arrive carrying rejection.
Some arrive wondering whether they have what it takes to build a different future.

At the Anchor, we do not ask her to erase her story.

A Place to Meet God

At the heart of the Anchor will be a chapel—a sacred space where every daughter can come just as she is.

A place to pray.

A place to worship.

A place to be still.

A place to ask questions.

A place to cry without judgment.

A place to listen for God's voice.

A place to discover that even in the seasons when life feels uncertain, God has not abandoned her.

The chapel will serve as a spiritual refuge within the refuge—a place where the noise of life can become quiet and a daughter can begin to understand who she is through the eyes of God.

A PLACE OF PRESENCE

She may enter the chapel carrying fear and leave with courage.

She may enter carrying confusion and leave with hope.

She may enter feeling forgotten and discover that she has never been forgotten by God.

She may enter believing that her past has disqualified her and begin to understand that God can use even the broken places of her story.

THE EMPTY CHAIR

Within the chapel, there will be an empty chair.

Not because someone is missing.

But because Someone is present.

The empty chair will serve as a reminder that Jesus is always welcome at the table.

He is not an observer of this journey.

He is at the table.

He is present in the conversations.

He is present in the tears.

He is present in the victories.

He is present when a daughter doesn't know what to say.

And He is present when she finally discovers her voice.

THE INVITATION

The chapel will never be a place where faith is used to shame a daughter.

It will be a place where she is invited to encounter Christ, learn His Word, ask honest questions, grow in faith, and discover that she is deeply loved.

Because the Anchor may provide a roof over her head—
but we pray that she discovers the One who can become her refuge.

She may arrive at the Anchor needing a place to stay.

There comes a time when a daughter who once entered the Anchor needing refuge is ready to step forward into her next chapter.

This moment deserves to be celebrated.

Not simply because she completed a program.

Not simply because she learned how to live independently.

But because she discovered something precious:

There was treasure within her all along.

The Anchor did not create her worth.

It helped her recognize it.

It did not give her purpose.

It helped her discover it.

It did not make her beautiful.

THE CELEBRATION

The Treasure of Heaven will be a special celebration honoring each daughter as she prepares to transition into her next chapter.

Her growth will be acknowledged.

And her future will be blessed.

THE TREASURE SHE CARRIES

She does not leave empty-handed.

She carries wisdom.

She carries relationships.

She carries a renewed understanding of who she is.

And she carries something that cannot be measured by a certificate, a diploma, or a paycheck:

Why This Exists

Beautiful Daughters of Christ was born from a deep desire to see women and young daughters know that their lives have value, their stories matter, and their circumstances do not have the final word.

The vision did not begin with a building.

It began with a burden.

A burden to see daughters who have experienced brokenness, instability, rejection, loss, or difficult transitions discover that there is still hope for their lives.

The Anchor is an expression of that hope.

It is a vision rooted in compassion, dignity, faith, restoration, and the belief that every daughter deserves an opportunity to discover who she is and what she can become.

THE HEART BEHIND THE VISION

The founder believes that knowledge should be shared, not hidden; that wisdom should be passed from one generation to another; and that when people have been given an opportunity to heal and grow, they can become a source of hope for someone else.

This vision is not about rescuing daughters and telling them who they should become.

It is about creating an environment where they can discover the gifts, strengths, dreams, and purpose that God has already placed within them.

My prayer is that every daughter who encounters Beautiful Daughters of Christ will leave knowing something she may not have known when she arrived:

Every Daughter Has a Place

The Anchor is being created for daughters who are navigating seasons of transition, uncertainty, instability, loss, brokenness, or the difficult journey of discovering who they are and where they belong.

Our initial focus is on young women transitioning from foster care into adulthood, particularly those who may be facing the uncertainty of aging out without the stable support system many young adults depend upon.

But our vision reaches beyond a single circumstance.

We recognize that a daughter can experience brokenness in many different ways.

She may be carrying the effects of rejection, abandonment, grief, trauma, family disruption, unhealthy relationships, homelessness, instability, low self-worth, or other difficult experiences.

She may look strong on the outside while quietly wondering:

“Where do I belong?”

“Does my life matter?”

“What am I supposed to do now?”

“Can I really build a different future?”

The Anchor is designed to help create a place where those questions can be met with compassion, support, guidance, opportunity, and hope.

She may arrive guarded.

She may arrive carrying things she has never been able to put into words.

She may arrive confident in some areas and struggling deeply in others.

She may not yet know what she wants her future to look like.

As the vision grows, Beautiful Daughters of Christ may develop additional programs and services for women experiencing other forms of transition, brokenness, and life disruption.

The Anchor may eventually become part of a larger community of resources where women can find support even when they do not need residential services.

The heart remains the same:

To recognize her worth.
To support her healing.
To equip her for her future.
And to remind her that she still has purpose.

The Inner Beauty Experience focuses on identity, self-worth, confidence, emotional awareness, and understanding that true beauty is not determined by appearance.

A daughter is encouraged to discover:

3. THE DAUGHTER'S TABLE

Connection. Conversation. Nourishment. Belonging.

The Daughter's Table creates intentional opportunities for gathering, conversation, mentorship, nourishment, encouragement, and relationship.

It reminds her:

4. AT THE BANQUET TABLE

Stories. Mentorship. Community. Purpose.

At the Banquet Table creates opportunities for storytelling, conversations, mentorship, encouragement, and community gatherings.

It is a place where daughters can hear from women who have walked different journeys and discover that their own experiences may eventually become wisdom they can share with someone else.

The message is simple:

5. THE CHAPEL EXPERIENCE

A Place to Meet God

The Chapel provides space for prayer, worship, Scripture, reflection, stillness, questions, and spiritual growth.

At the center is the empty chair—a reminder:

“Not because someone is missing. But because Someone is present.”

The Chapel is not intended to be a place of pressure or shame.

It is an invitation to encounter Christ, ask honest questions, seek wisdom, and discover that God can meet us even in difficult places.

A Celebration of Who She Has Become

Treasure of Heaven marks an important moment in the journey.

It celebrates growth, courage, accomplishments, wisdom, relationships, faith, skills, and the woman she is becoming.

The celebration reminds her:

The Anchor did not create her worth. It helped her recognize it.

She came needing an Anchor.

She rested.

She healed.

She grew.

She discovered.

She prepared.

And now she is ready to move forward.

The hope is that she will leave not simply as someone who completed a program, but as a woman who understands that she has something valuable to bring to the world.

Success cannot be measured only by how many daughters enter the program.

It cannot be measured only by how many complete a program, receive a certificate, secure employment, or move into another home.

Those things matter.

Our prayer is that Beautiful Daughters of Christ will become more than an organization.

That it will become a legacy of restoration.

A place where one generation helps prepare the next.

A place where knowledge is shared.

Where wisdom is passed forward.

Where healing becomes hope.

Where hope becomes purpose.

Where purpose becomes service.

And where service becomes legacy.

The Anchor may begin with a dream.

But with God's direction, wise stewardship, faithful people, and a community willing to build together—

We envision a future where Beautiful Daughters of Christ becomes a recognized place of refuge, restoration, preparation, and purpose for daughters navigating difficult seasons of life.

The first Anchor may begin with one home.

But the vision does not end there.

The first Anchor is the seed.

MORE THAN ONE DOOR

As the vision grows, we can imagine additional homes and supportive spaces serving daughters with different needs and circumstances.

Each location may look different.

Each community may have different needs.

But the foundation remains the same:

Christ.
Compassion.
Dignity.
Healing.
Preparation.
Purpose.

THE COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER

We envision a future Community Resource Center where daughters and women can access resources even when residential services are not what they need.

It could become a place for:

• Workshops
• Counseling and wellness resources
• Educational opportunities
• Career development
• Mentorship
• Life-skills training
• Community gatherings
• Support groups
• Bible studies
• Leadership development
• Resource connections

The Anchor provides a place to rest.

The Resource Center can become a place to connect, learn, grow, and continue.

THE CHAPEL

We see the chapel becoming an important part of the identity of Beautiful Daughters of Christ.

A place where people can pray.

A place where daughters can worship.

A place where someone can sit quietly when words are difficult to find.

A place where families can gather.

A place where stories can be shared.

A place where hope can be restored.

And that empty chair remains.

Because Jesus is always welcome at the table.

THE ACADEMY

We envision opportunities for daughters and women to gain knowledge that can change the direction of their lives.

Workshops and educational programs may eventually address:

We envision daughters who once needed The Anchor eventually becoming part of its future.

Some may become professionals who serve within the organization.

Some may support it financially.

Some may tell their stories.

Some may build something entirely new because of what they learned.

The daughter becomes part of the legacy.

A NETWORK OF ANCHORS

One day, perhaps, there may be more than one Anchor.

Different communities.

Different buildings.

Different programs.

But one shared heartbeat.

A network of places where daughters can find:

Refuge.

And perhaps the vision eventually becomes even larger.

Beautiful Daughters of Christ could become a place that not only serves daughters but equips other communities to serve them well.

The knowledge gained through the journey can be shared.

The lessons learned can become training.

The programs developed can become resources.

The stories gathered can become books, podcasts, workshops, and educational material.

The vision can continue multiplying.

ONE DAUGHTER AT A TIME

But even as the vision grows, we never want to lose the heart of where it began.

One daughter matters.

One story matters.

One life matters.

One opportunity can change a direction.

One person believing can awaken hope.

One safe place can become the beginning of a new chapter.

So even if Beautiful Daughters of Christ eventually reaches hundreds or thousands of women—

we will always remember the one.

THE FUTURE WE SEE

We see a future where daughters are no longer defined by the circumstances from which they came.

We see women discovering their voices.

We see families strengthened.

We see leaders emerging.

We see wounds becoming testimonies.

We see knowledge being shared.

What We Leave Behind

A building can eventually become old.

A program can eventually change.

A leader can eventually step away.

But what is planted in a person's life can continue long after the original moment has passed.

That is the kind of legacy we hope Beautiful Daughters of Christ will create.

A LEGACY OF RESTORATION

We want daughters to leave knowing that brokenness does not have to be their identity.

That healing is possible.

That growth is possible.

That beginning again is possible.

A LEGACY OF DIGNITY

We want every daughter to experience what it means to be treated as someone of value.

Not because of what she has accomplished.

Not because of what she can give.

But because her life has inherent worth.

A LEGACY OF KNOWLEDGE

We believe knowledge should not be locked away.

It should be shared.

Wisdom should be passed from one generation to another.

A daughter who learns something valuable should have the opportunity to use that knowledge to strengthen someone else.

What we learn becomes more powerful when we share it.

A LEGACY OF FAITH

Our prayer is that daughters will encounter Christ in ways that are genuine, compassionate, and meaningful.

Some may begin their journey with strong faith.

Some may have questions.

Some may be searching.

Some may be wounded by previous experiences.

Wherever they begin, we pray that they encounter a God who sees them, loves them, and welcomes them.

A LEGACY OF WOMEN WHO LIFT OTHER WOMEN

We want to cultivate a culture where women do not compete over who gets a seat.

We make room for one another.

Where one woman has knowledge, she shares it.

Where one has resources, she opens a door.

Where one has experience, she offers wisdom.

Where one has strength, she helps someone who is still finding hers.

A LEGACY OF PURPOSE

We want daughters to understand that their lives have meaning beyond survival.

Their experiences may become part of their testimony.

Their gifts may become part of their contribution.

Their healing may become someone else's hope.

Their lives can matter in ways they cannot yet see.

A LEGACY THAT MULTIPLIES

Perhaps the greatest picture of legacy is this:

A daughter comes to The Anchor needing help.

She receives support.

She heals.

She learns.

She grows.

She discovers her gifts.

She finds her purpose.

She moves forward.

And years later, another daughter is struggling.

She walks through the door.

And the woman who once needed an Anchor is there to say:

“I understand.”

“I have been where you are.”

“You can get through this.”

“There is hope.”

That is when the circle becomes complete.

WHAT WE HOPE SHE REMEMBERS

Years from now, we hope she remembers more than the rooms.

We hope she remembers the people who believed in her.

The woman who listened.

The mentor who encouraged her.

The counselor who helped her find words.

The lesson that changed her perspective.

The prayer that carried her through a difficult night.

The meal around the table.

The laughter.

The tears.

The chapel.

The empty chair.

And the moment she realized:

“I am not who my past said I was.”

THE LEGACY WE PRAY FOR

May the daughters who come through The Anchor become women who:

Love deeply.

Live wisely.

Lead courageously.

Serve compassionately.

Walk with integrity.

Share what they know.

Open doors for others.

And remember where they came from without allowing it to limit where they are going.

THE LEGACY IS NOT THE BUILDING

The building is important.

The programs are important.

The resources are important.

But they are not the ultimate legacy.

The people are the legacy.

The healed daughter.

The confident woman.

The educated woman.

The employed woman.

The entrepreneur.

The mother.

The counselor.

The nurse.

The teacher.

The mentor.

The leader.

The woman who looks at another wounded daughter and says:

“There is still hope.”

ONE DAY

One day, perhaps long after the first Anchor opens its doors, someone will walk through those doors who never knew the Founder personally.

She may never know how many prayers were prayed over the vision.

She may never know how many obstacles had to be overcome.

But she will experience the fruit.

She will sit at the table.

She may enter the chapel.

She may discover her gifts.

She may find her voice.

She may begin to heal.

She may discover purpose.

And she may leave carrying something that cannot be measured on a balance sheet.

Hope.

That is the legacy.

That is what we leave behind.

And that is what we pray God will continue to multiply. 💜

FROM LEGACY TO VISION

Legacy asks a powerful question:

What will remain because we were here?

But this vision asks an even deeper question:

What are we building now that can continue serving others long after we begin?

The answer cannot simply be a building.

It cannot simply be a program.

It cannot simply be a collection of books, workshops, partnerships, or beautiful ideas.

The true legacy is found in the lives touched, the wisdom shared, the wounds that begin to heal, the opportunities created, the daughters who discover their worth, and the women who eventually become a source of hope for someone else.

That is why this vision must be built with intention.

It must be rooted in Christ.

It must be guided by wisdom.

It must be supported by people.

It must be protected by integrity.

It must be sustained through responsible stewardship.

And it must always remember why it exists.

Before there was a building, there was a burden.

Before there was a program, there was a vision.

Before there was an organization, there was a desire to see lives transformed.

This is where we return to the heart of the vision:

Why does this exist?
